Is this a UFO ? I just saw it on a live web cam from Hawaii?
Its from a web cam on Gemini Observatory that sits at the summit of the dormant Mauna Kea volcano. I just wanted to see a little of the sunset when I clicked on the TIME LAPS VIDEOS.... jan 22, 2009 at aprox. 21.05.01 (time on bottom) there is an object flying back and forth in the upper middle of the screen, and also on Jan 25 there is one too...I dont think it can be a shooting star because it bounces back and forth ,,,,/?????? what are your thoughts??? http://www.cfht.hawaii.edu/webcams/cfhtdome/movies/20090122-cfhtdome.mp4 http://www.cfht.hawaii.edu/webcams/cfhtdome/movies/20090125-cfhtdome.mp4 (time) 1.59.09 just watch closley.....

- Nope
- No. It is an unidentified object on a webcam. You can't even say it is flying, can you?
- Since this is time lapse photography the objects in the video are moving very slowly which means its probably a celestial body. Whats weird in the video is that the other stars aren't moving. So I would say that the scientists were tracking these celestial bodies by following the other stars to see how much their differs from the other stars that way that can differentiate between what they are tracking and what is normal. So they are probably tracking a celestial body.
- No, if you keep scanning back and forth from daylight to darkness you will see that the light you refer too lines up exactly with part of the revolving observatory and is just a reflection of it.
- An exact answer: The question is subjective, and so is the answer. UFO is defined as an Unidentified Flying Object. If it is not identified by you or anyone else, in fact it is a UFO. This does not mean it is an alien space craft, just that it can not be identified. May even be a satellite orbiting earth. So Yes, and possibly No. Hope this helps.
- You'll notice that the light comes from the location of the telescope dome, judging from the position of the dome during daylight. The dome isn't going to disappear at night. It's some small light attached to the dome as it moves back and forth, or perhaps a reflection of some small light inside the dome on the telescope.
- i didn't see it move back and forth. it moved from the right to the left, then afterwards there was a flash. it HAS to be a ufo, because its too easy to think it might be something else. I mean there's NOTHING in space so it HAS to be a UFO. NO.
